Romi Hubbard

President

“Developing a small business to not only survive the economy of the last couple decades but grow has been challenging. Watching Gracor’s success, as well as the satisfaction and growth of our clients, has made all the hard work worth it.”

After working in the business world, Romi realized that with her linguistic skills (native speaker in both Spanish and English) and her natural aptitude at business management, the entrepreneur direction was more in line with her interests and ability. And so for the past 30+ years she has been a successful business entrepreneur, with three successful businesses under her belt.

Romi began Gracor by taking her personal experience as a court interpreter for U.S. Court systems and creating a network linking court certified interpreters with the various District court systems as well as other placement within the U.S. Department of Justice. Naturally the success of that lead into Gracor providing interpreters and translation services for various other industries such as the financial, medical and industrial fields.

With Gracor thriving in the translation and interpretation markets, Romi expanded the company into a new arena, Linguistic Testing. While linguistic testing is performed for corporations and municipals, Romi’s primary focus is working with government contractors as the impartial testing company to support the United States’ need for qualified linguistics. This division has tripled in size since its beginning in 2008.

Under Romi guidance, Gracor’s client list contains numerous local, national and international companies including many on the Fortune’s 500 list.

Romi raised in Puerto Rico, also attended school in Switzerland, and graduated from Daemen College, Amherst, New York with a Bachelor of Science Business Economics, along with dual minors in Management and Spanish. For guiding her company’s success, she has been featured as a successful Hispanic entrepreneur in Ohio.
